Evaluation - How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?

When planning and researching we used various websites such as slideshare and powerpoints from google to assist us with our creation of our film. This way we could look at other peoples analysis of their work and compare the similaritites and differences to our own. We could even make improvements to our final product so that it cvould be even better than when it was first made. As well as using this to improve our product we again used some of the feedback we recieved from our first audience. We did quite alot of research to find our final idea for our product because it took us so long to love an idea for our film. We went through about four ideas before agreeing on the last one and deciding that bit would be the best idea for both of us to understand the concept of. Evaluation - How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks?

Overall I think the main target audience for our product was young people ages between 16 - 25 as this is the common age of people dealing with mental illness in todays society. Both our main product and my ancillary tasks I think link effectively together because they both convey the way schizophrenia controls the mind. Frame: The standard size of the magazine including the outer page margins and gutters. the rule of using magazine margins establishes the consistency from issue to issue. Function: What t...

Evaluation - In what ways does your media product use, develop or challenge forms and conventions of real media products?

Psychological horrors ten dto be more about the mind and contain less physical harm or blood and gore compared to other horror genres. It tends to create discomfort in the viewer and focusses on the darker parts of the human mind which people usually deny or repress. An example of a psychological horror is 'The shining' by Stanley Kubricks produced in 1980. This film is this genre because at the start of the movie, the audience do not realise that the mian character is a serial killer but in the end he goes crazy and tries killing his wife and daughter. Our film links to this as it focusses on schizophrenioa and the power it has over the mind especially over our character. It shows how it affects such samll and insignifcant things in someones life that most people find easy to do but people dealing with this mental illess find it so difficult to complete. Using schizophrenia as the mian concept of our film helps expose the evil that hides behind normality. Poeple with the me...
