Evaluation - How did you use media technologies in the construction and research, planning and evaluation stages?


When planning and researching we used various websites such as slideshare and powerpoints from google to assist us with our creation of our film. This way we could look at other peoples analysis of their work and compare the similaritites and differences to our own. We could even make improvements to our final product so that it cvould be even better than when it was first made. As well as using this to improve our product we again used some of the feedback we recieved from our first audience. We did quite alot of research to find our final idea for our product because it took us so long to love an idea for our film. We went through about four ideas before agreeing on the last one and deciding that bit would be the best idea for both of us to understand the concept of.


We were least dependant on using technology and media for our final product because it was all about our ideas coming together and finalising to ctreate our finished end product that we could evaluate by re watching and gaining feedback from a target audience it was aimed at.

As our film was aimed at a younger generation, we decided to have an audience watch our final product that fit into this category because this would help us to know if the film we had created was successful in what we wanted to achieve overall. I asked a group of three friends between the ages of 16 - 18 to watch a give us some feedback on what they thought about it. They were able to give us positive comments and also some constructive criticism which enabled us to reflect back on our work and make some improvements according to what our audience thought. slasher

The  slasher film  (sometimes referred to as bodycount  films  and dead teenager movies) is a sub- genre  of horror  film  typically involving a psychopathic killer (sometimes wearing a mask) who stalks and graphically murders a series of adolescent victims in a typically random , unprovoked fashion.  Psycho is a seminal slasher because throughout the film there is frequent violent murders with use of knives and dangerous weapons. It set a new level of acceptability for violence, deviant behaviour and sexuality in American films. It was also an early example of a slasher film genre.

Tim Burton

Tim Burton Timothy Walter Burton (born August 25, 1958) is an American film director, producer, artist, writer, and animator. He is well known for producing dark, eccentric and quirky fantasy films such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and A nightmare before christmas. As a preteen, Burton would make short films in his backyard on Evergreen Street using crude stop motion animation techniques or shoot them on 8 mm film without sound. One of Tim Burtons most famous works, Sweeney Todd: Demon Barber of Fleet street, blends explicit gore and Broadway tunes to create a bizarre and anomalous film which reflects his style when producing and directing. As well as his creations having a peculiar style he tries to show this through his characters. For example the mad hatter in Alice in Wonderland. The role is made for someone that can portray him as insane and fanatical.
