Evaluation - How effective is the combination of your main product and ancillary tasks?
Overall I think the main target audience for our product was young people ages between 16 - 25 as this is the common age of people dealing with mental illness in todays society. Both our main product and my ancillary tasks I think link effectively together because they both convey the way schizophrenia controls the mind.
Format: The format is the design choices that can be found on every edition of magazine, this is also known as the house style. The format includes aspects of the magazine such as the logo, size of the magazine and the font.
Formula: The formula is also known as the editorial content, this means what is actually in the magazine. the formula includes the length and type of article used in the magazine as well as the sections in the magazine from front to back.
Frame: The standard size of the magazine including the outer page margins and gutters. the rule of using magazine margins establishes the consistency from issue to issue.
Function: What the magazine is trying to achieve and the message the magazine is trying to put forward.
I decided to reflect the title of my double page spread to show the way the voices also have their say in a patients head. I also added a glow effect on the edges of my images so that they could connect together and it could show the confusion in the characters head. I think the magazine is trying to show the loneliness and isolation that a person feels with schizophrenia and by them being alone in a picture with a large setting around them shows how they have no one to talk to or listen to except for the voices in their head.
